This robovac delivers impressive AI-powered obstacle avoidance, a powerful mopping, and an auto-emptying dock. It also comes with an HEPA filter that seals in allergens.

It also has the best features in terms of apps, such as virtual no-go areas and zone cleaning.

1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a solid, well-built robot that does an excellent job vacuuming bare floors. It comes with a large dirt compartment on the outside that automatically empties into the docking station when it's full, and then resumes cleaning after it's recharged. It's effective in removing small and medium debris, but struggles with hair from pets.

This robot, like the i3 EVO uses iRobot’s iAdapat navigation software to help you learn and remember your home. It also comes with an automatic adjustment feature that adjusts its head height and suction power depending on the type of floor it's working on.

During our testing it did a great job on both hard floors as well as carpets with low pile, picking up most of the smaller, more difficult debris we dropped on each surface, while also taking on the larger crumbs of cereal that we dropped on the carpet. It's a little less adept in cleaning pet hair than a few of the top models we've tested however, and it could become stuck on toys or cords if you don't pick them up before you send the robot out to clean.

In our tests in our tests, the i3+ EVO was clean for a period of about 90 minutes before the battery ran low and it was able to return to its original state. This is better than the i7+ or s9+ which was able to run for just 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO also has a fantastic performance in recollecting the exact place it left off on a given run, which isn't always the case with other robots we've examined.

The i3+ EVO dust bin is 1.5 quarts in size, which is smaller than the majority of other robots we tested. It has a release button on one side of the bin, which you press to empty it. You can also empty the bin via the docking station's Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system, which sucks up the contents of the internal dust bin and then empty it into the station's outside dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro is a powerful mopping system that has a suction rate of 5,500pa. It can be installed within a matter of minutes. The integrated 770ml tank of water and dustbin reduce the frequency of emptying and its large capacity permits longer mopping sessions. Its 240-minute runtime makes it an excellent option for homes with larger spaces. The robot's smart navigation technology, built on PreciSense LiDAR mapping, ensures it covers the entire room and is able to navigate around obstacles.

The Q5 Pro is unlike some other robot vacuums which require Wi-Fi to work. However, its battery life is quite short, so you'll need to recharge it often when you plan to use the robot for a long period of time. It is easy to maintain by using dirt bags that can be easily replaced, and a simple maintenance schedule. It's also a bit cheaper than its more expensive competitors.

The Q5 Pro can be a little bit finicky when it is dealing with pet hair and heavier debris, but it does a solid job overall. In our tests, it eliminated more debris from floors and low-pile carpet than the Dirt Devil Endura Max, though it struggled to get into the tight corners and recessed areas of carpets with high pile. It is also more manoeuvrable and the filtration system does a great job of trapping allergens. The straight suction floorhead of the vacuum is small for large or heavy debris. There are also minor drawbacks such as its lack of advanced features and the limited functionality of the remote control. Eureka Q5 Pro, despite its limitations, is a great option for those who are looking for a basic robotic bagless vacuum robots that can mop.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you're looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner that is able to also mop, then the SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great choice. The small size of this robot allows it to reach areas that larger robots cannot such as corners and under furniture. It also has a sophisticated LiDAR sensor that can recognize obstacles and avoid collisions.

During our testing during testing, the K10 Plus quickly and efficiently cleaned up pet hair, crumbs and other debris from our carpets and hardwood floors. It also was able to get into tight spaces like under our beds or around the legs of chairs. It can be used to mop with a separate cloth, or use a wet wipe. There's a small pack of wet wipes included with the K10 Plus to get you started.

The app for the K10 Plus is intuitive and simple to use. It offers several customization options such as setting a no disruption time, adjusting the layout of the map and setting a timer for when you want it to clean. The app monitors the life span of various accessories such as the side brush, sensor, and bin filter. This can be useful in determining when it's time to replace them.

The K10 Plus's battery life is decent too. We could get about three hours of cleaning out of it on the full charge. It also charges very quickly. It releases dirt into a large bin located in the base station after it's finished. It can be noisy when it happens, but at least it's not as loud as the other self emptying robot vacuums we've tested.

4. iRobot S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the premium S Series of the manufacturer that is above models like the iRobot Roomba j7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It performs very well on various floor surfaces and is able to maneuver around furniture. Its main brushroll features counter rotating rubber scrapers that effectively clean most debris including pet hair from bare floors and carpets. Its suction strength in the real world is adequate for a robot but not as robust as top-quality alternatives like the Roborock S8.

The Roomba S9+'s design is distinctly elegant and features a D-shaped body that looks much more modern than its circular competitors. This shape helps it to get into corners and along edges easier. It will still leave dust in these areas if you don't turn the corner brush in a fast enough manner. However its powerful motor is more than enough to make up for it.

In iRobot's tests in the lab, the S9+ was able to remove kitty litter and pet hair easily. It also performed exceptionally on hard floors, where its powerful motor was able to power through most types and corners and edges effortlessly. Its advanced vSLAM technology as well as Imprint bagless smart sweepers Mapping made it one of our best navigators. It is able to find its way through sofas or beds with valances draped over them.

The iRobot App makes it simple to set up and operate. You can select which functions you want to activate in the initial setup process, or wait until you have an understanding of how it functions. The internal bin must be manually empty when it is full however, the process only takes about 15 seconds and is relatively quiet.

5. Roborock S8

The most recent version of the Roborock S series is an impressive mop and robot vacuum with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it makes use of an LIDAR sensor and camera system for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The mapping system creates a 3D map of your home that you can view through the app, and it allows you to define no-go zones, or certain rooms for spot cleaning. The app lets you control the robot's schedule, and select different mopping and vacuuming modes for each room.

The S8 has upgraded HyperForce suction that can pick up fine hair and particles with ease. The app allows you to modify the suction power. The device can automatically switch between energy efficient 'Quiet Balanced', 'Turbo' and" modes depending on the surface that it is cleaning. There's also a carpet Suction Boost' mode that boosts suction when the robot is on rugs.

You can control the S8 with one button that can be used as a general 'Clean' button or an "Spot Clean' button to direct the bot to that area. Press the 'Dock/Home button' to direct the robot to its home station. The app has a surprisingly extensive features and is simple to use. You can even choose when you want to charge your phone off-peak in order to save money on peak time power.

The only issue with the S8 is that its battery does not last longer than it should with a battery that can last only 130 minutes of use when I left it on its default settings with both vacuuming and mopping enabled. That's a remarkable amount of time and was enough to completely clean my home.
